School of Visual Arts’ Summer Residencies

School of Visual Arts’ Summer Residencies in New York City offer emerging and mid-career artists time, space and supportive community in which to develop ideas and focus on their artistic direction.

Now in its third decade, this internationally renowned program offers emerging and mid-career artists an opportunity to spend the summer developing ideas and focusing on their artistic direction. Participants are immersed in the creative community of New York City, with the guidance of a distinguished faculty.

The residencies are available in the following disciplines : Painting and Mixed Media / Printmaking and Book Arts / Photography Public Art / Illustration and Visual Storytelling: Art and Industry.

There is no deadline. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
